2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. 4In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, ¡°My son, do not make light of the Lord¡¯s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.¡±
It is true, when I fix my eyes on Jesus, I can see also the joy that is to come in his kingdom and when his will is fulfilled. He even endured the cross, who am I to say that whatever I face now is impossible to endure? But the flesh is weak and the struggle feels real. It so easy to lose heart in any and all aspects. But even the discouragement that I/ we feel is sin for it shows the lack of faith in Christ and it is when our mind is not of the spirit. I have not fought the battle until the shedding of blood. Before I ask for solutions of my environment, I ask that my Spirit is strengthened and my flesh denied.
