2 Corinthians 12:7-10

"To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

This is a passage I often turn to in difficult times because of how powerful it is. God places us in struggles in order to show us how weak we are and how infinitely powerful and loving He is. Sometimes I try to take my life into my own hands, thinking that I have some control over my future and how things turn out in this world. However, our Father constantly humbles me and reminds me that it is only through Christ and the Holy Spirit that we are able to do anything. We are weak, but through Him we are strong so that all the glory may go to God. Rather than finding my worth in my relationships with people and worldly success, I will turn to God in all things because He is the only one who remains constant in a world where everyone and everything is changing.
